leather rope or other type man's boot laces
wire brush
Large Boiling Pot
Search around your home for the supplies.
We found everything needed at home total cost $ ZERO DOLLARS $
Instructions:

Old Dingy Shirt

1. Cut sleeves in a zig zag to appear worn out.

2. Cut out center area of buttons. I cut down what was 6 buttons.
It will make a rectangle open area directly in front of shirt.

3. In a large pot boil water for 20 mins. on high heat. Set pot on side add in tea bags.

Wait about 10 mins & carefully place shirt in pot fully emerging in the hot tea water.

4. Let shirt sit all night if you have the time. The longer it sits the more drastic the look will be. If not 4 hours or till completely cool will work for a fast costume.

5. Squeeze tea water out & rinse in cool water to get excess off. Hang to dry.

Purely Gold Pants
1. cut off bottom of pants to your child's mid-calf.

2. With wire brush (one that is used for BBQ pit-clean) scrape pants going in up ward direction. This will give it a worn out look instantly.

3. Place gold glitter paint on pants in lines from waist to bottom.

4. Place on hanger to dry. Dry time varies from 2-6 hours depending on humidity.

Old Dingy Shirt Part 2:
Once shirt is completely dried it's time to get the look going!

1. With scissor in hand cut out holes to place eyelets through. This was the place where once the buttons were located. Make double sure your new holes match evenly with your button slits. We want it to be some-what even when roped off.

2. Next string though leather rope. Knotting off ends.

Finally dress your child in his new costume.
Add washable tattoos to forearm & chest.
Add gold jewelry from Gumball Machine if you wish OR if your lucky enough to own Mardi Gras beads Add a few gold ones to the belt loops on his pants.
Tie the bandanna to his head & top off with a cheep pirate hat.

Perfectly Cute Pirate Captain!!
